Yale Women’s Group: Raising Future-Ready Kids in a Rapidly Changing World

As founder of Life Beyond School, Angie Lau was invited to speak at a private luncheon hosted by Yale Women’s Hong Kong, bringing together an influential group of women leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, and professionals to explore the intersection of parenting, purpose, and leadership in the 21st century.

In this powerful session, Angie shared how working parents can raise emotionally intelligent, resilient, and thoughtful children while strengthening their own leadership skills at home and at work. The conversation drew on insights from Life Beyond School’s RECCA™ framework (Resilience, Emotional Intelligence, Creativity, Communication, Adaptability), highlighting the science behind social-emotional learning (SEL), and why these are the exact same soft skills the future workforce demands.

The group explored key themes such as:

  • How to teach resilience without helicoptering

  • Tools to raise confident, emotionally aware kids in an AI-accelerated world

  • Why building foundational life skills in children transforms not only families—but the organizations their parents lead

Each attendee left with a set of Life Beyond School Challenge Cards and a digital toolkit of family rituals, conversation starters, and reflection prompts designed to spark immediate impact at home.

This appearance was part of Angie’s global mission to bring practical, high-impact parent engagement to corporate, school, and leadership communities anchored in the belief that we’re not just raising kids, we’re building the future.
